The Engineer's Notebook

The Tooltronics Low Insertion Force (LIF) Test Socket is engineered to reduce device stress while maintaining reliable electrical contact during testing. A precision contact system ensures consistent contact force after insertion, providing stable and repeatable electrical performance.

Sockets are populated with Tooltronics LPK Series and/or HPK Series Kelvin contacts, delivering accurate force-and-sense measurements, low contact resistance, and dependable performance across demanding test conditions.

For applications requiring easier device removal, the socket can be configured with integrated device ejection featuring pistons that safely eject the module when the side levers are engaged.

Ideal for laboratory, engineering, and production environments, LIF sockets are available in multiple configurations with custom materials and mounting options to support a wide range of package styles and pin counts.
